Mysterious technology: Bring an fictional Island to live using procedural tools
Stefan Kraus and I will introduce you to a fictional island – the Mysterious Island created by Jules Verne in his novel of the same name. We will show you, how we took that fictional island and recreated it step by step using procedural tools. At the end, we will scatter plant life on the island, and load it up in a game engine to demonstrate a gamers experience of that world.

Started at Softgold in 1995 as Associate Producer on “X – beyond the frontier” and moved on to coordinate Production between US and Europe when THQ acquired the company in 1997. Switched to Conspiracy Entertainment in 1999 and produced a series of titles based on movie licenses. Then focused on development of MMORPG Shadowbane until 2003. Got some mobile Experience working with Jamba! which I used to found my own mobile Studio in 2004. Closed this in 2010 to work as Producer in Bigpoint’s mobile Division. After closure of that division I went to work for Ubisoft Blue Byte in 2013 where I produced “Anno – Build an Empire”. Beginning of 2017 I started to work on a project aiming to producer game content procedurally.
