Making Games for Everyone - Game Accessibility Basics
Games are an important part of our culture - just like music, movies or books. However, there are millions of people missing out on your inspiring stories or empowering gameplay experiences due to a physical handicap. In this session I would like to introduce you to the world of software accessibility and show you how to integrate this aspect into the development process of your next game.

Saskia Bader is a web developer, a tech/gaming blogger and an accessibility advocate. As a developer she has worked at big web projects like the mobile version of mySwitzerland (the website of the Swiss Tourism Bureau), created innovative tools like a sales rank tracker for e-commerce marketplaces for clients and also set up blogs and small one-page "digital business cards" for small, local businesses. She also runs a technology and gaming blog as a side business where she covers tech trends like virtual reality, drones, 3D printing and smart home and where new gadgets and games are reviewed fairly. She has been awarded a "premium blog" badge and has been nominated for the "Podcastpreis 2018" (German Podcasting Award) and wants to use her blog to inspire other women to get involved in the technology and games of tomorrow.
